It is recommended you see your dentist every six months for a regular exam and cleaning. These visits are important as it helps us monitor any changes in your dental health, including developing cavities and gum disease. These routine visits can play a big role in your long-term oral health and may prevent dental problems later in life.
Every member of our team is dedicated to helping you receive comfortable, effective dental care. To alleviate any anxiety associated with dental procedures, we utilize the Wand®, which delivers computer-regulated flow of anesthesia. This delivers a more comfortable, pain-free, numbing experience and allows us to numb just one tooth, which eliminates the worry of having large portions of your mouth being numb for hours after your appointment.
Tooth-colored or composite fillings provide a more conservative option compared to silver/amalgam fillings. A dental filling helps restore tooth function after cavities and decay have been removed. Composites are strong and durable materials which can withstand the forces of chewing. This type of filling can be carefully matched to your natural tooth color to ensure it is virtually undetectable. In addition, it helps save natural tooth structure, improve stability, and strength, and protects against broken teeth.
Our practice provides gum therapy to help prevent tooth loss, address gum disease, bone loss and mobile teeth. During gum therapy, we will remove calcified build-up from the surface of the teeth and eliminate bacteria and germs from the root surfaces. This removes infected tooth structures and reduces the need for periodontal surgery. We are committed to restoring your immediate and long-term gum and oral health.
Also known as endodontic therapy, a root canal is necessary when a cavity reaches the pulp of a tooth. A root canal may also be necessary if you have experienced severe trauma to a tooth. This procedure consists of cleaning out the diseased pulp and disinfecting the interior of the tooth. To prevent further bacterial infections, the canals of the tooth are sealed. To restore strength and stability to the tooth structure, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling. This also returns the tooth to normal function and appearance, so it looks just like a regular tooth.
